Code of Dan Brown and Ron Howard

The Da Vinci Code..

Finally I have watched Da Vinci Code...and still I couldn’t find an answer y I watched it..

I am one TOM HANKS fanatic. which made me buy an Original DVD worth of 600rs and watch the worthless movie. This movie once again proves that, its very very difficult to make a movie out of a famous book..its difficult to make it more famous than its printed counterpart...and only a few lucky ppl in the world can make it..exception being Francis Ford Coppola (Godfather), Spielberg (Jaws)...blah blah...

One Question for Ron Howard, whom I respect more..who has given such wonderful movies like Apollo 13 and Beautiful Mind.. one qs.. Mr. Ron, before making the movie, did you think that only those who read the book should come and watch the movie ?
pls I need an answer for this one...somebody help me in finding out. This movie is one crap..a movie in which you cant understand a single line or single scene if you haven’t read the book...did Mr.Ron thought that before watching the movie, all the ppl will read the book and come and c... ooops huge blunder..but still the hype and the controversy made the movie a great hit(thats wat statistics say)..they made huge money out of this crap...

Coming to story line..they have changed a bit here and there..but certain things they have changed completely which looks ridiculous...like declaring that Jacques Sauniere is not the grandfather of Sophie..I don’t know wats the need to change the entire story line there...I think one of the most suspense and unexpected part in the story is declaration of Sir Leigh Teabing as the Teacher..but in the movie..there is no life at all for that scene..simply he gets up and looks...no life....as dull as anything...and one more thing is..wen Sophie comes to know that she is the descendant of Christ...no surprise in her face too...as if she knows everything already...Mr. Ron should have concentrated more on these things rather than giving some lenghty interviews...lots and lots of interesting things they have missed..for me, the only satisfying thing in the movie is the performance of Paul Bettany as Silas...fantastic performance..Tom Hanks failed..Audrey failed..Reno is ok and Ian is ok..

May be they should have done like wat Coppola did with Godfather...he knew its very difficult to tell everything in the book in a single movie, so he and Puzo masterfully divided the storyline into two and made Two masterpieces in two consecutive yrs.. Now I wont bet for Angels and Daemons (if they happen to make)..Thumbs down for Ron and Co...

Wat you say?
